Mount Cook New Zealand Heli Adventure Wedding

June 12, 2017

It was an absolute honour to be involved in Tori and Ben’s special day. Right from the first moment I met with them, I knew their day would be gorgeous and unique, a day that I would remember for years to come! Tori has always loved photography and had some beautiful locations and ideas in mind for our creative shoot on their wedding day. They both have a strong connection with the McKenzie District in the South Island, holidays and long weekends spent in Twizel which is a little town that sits not far from the base of our tallest mountain, Mt Cook.

Tori and Ben chose to say “I do” on the shores of lake Pukaki. It is the closest lake to Twizel township and is known well for it’s light blue glacier fed fresh water. They had an intimate celebration with only their closest friends and family. For the creative shoot we drove around the lake to Glentanner, only a few kilometres from Mt Cook itself. From there we met with the awesome folks at The Helicopter Line to have our briefing in preparation for heading up to Leibig Dome, our location for the shoot. What an amazing experience, seeing Mt Cook from such a different perspective and being amongst the clouds for our shoot!
On the way back to the family bach for a BBQ we got the last of the beautiful sunset as we headed back to Twizel, the sky presented us with a stunning pink glow, it was the perfect way to end the day.

These guys honestly made a lasting impression on me, enjoy having a look through their celebration!
