My special friend Lucy and I road-tripped down to Omarama to chase some golden light for her maternity shoot. She is having little girl number two and we wanted to create something that complemented her first epic shoot by Sarah Clements but also really challenge and explore a woman’s body and pregnancy and what it means to have the honour of bringing new life into this world. We stopped first for our mandatory Fairlie Bakehouse Pies and then continued on to our location; The Clay Cliffs. After that we explored the back roads behind Omarama, something I haven’t done since I was a child! I love what NZ has to offer with different landscapes and light and in the South Island it’s all so accessible, we definitely take it for granted.
